User Image Uploads
For the first time, Pixaria 2.0 lets you delegate upload privileges to selected registered users on your website. Making a user a designated photographer is as simple as checking a box in the profile and once they're set up, they will be able to being adding images to your library immediately.
Sandboxed uploads
Photographer users can only upload images using their web browser (either as a .zip archive or as individual JPEG image files. Uploaded and imported images are automatically marked as inactive so you can manually approve all new submissions to your library.
Beautiful new design
Pixaria 2.0 introduces a new default look and feel to the gallery and image viewing pages of your website. The new design is based on standards compliant HTML and CSS to ensure that your site both looks great and works correctly in all the major web browsers.
The templates and theme files in Pixaria 2.0 are now easier to edit and follow a standardised layout approach to make customisation simpler. For image and thumbnail views, there is more information than ever accessible to your templates in an easy to access format that makes tailoring your website to your requirements simpler than ever before.
Simpler image management
Extensive changes to the image management tools within Pixaria 2.0 make organising your image library easier and quicker than ever before. When you import images into your library, it is now possible to view and edit the metadata for each image individually and to view complete the IPTC and EXIF records for each file.
In Pixaria 2.0 it is now possible to disable images and galleries you don't wish to display and the tools for moving, editing and deleting images have all been overhauled with enhancements to help keep your site running with minimal fuss.
Manage your client relationships
Your users are the most important asset on your site after the images in your library so it's important to be able to administer them as easily as possible. Pixaria 2.0 introduces the ability to invite users to join your site. All you have to do is enter their name, e-mail address and set what permissions you would like to have and an invitation e-mail will be sent with instructions on how to sign up.
A new system level group for photographers allows you to nominate users who can upload images into your library and photographer user quick list in the user management control panel lets you quickly and easily view and manage images on a user by user basis.
Awesome new search engine
In response to literally hundreds of requests, the search engine in Pixaria 2.0 has been completely rewritten from scratch. It's now possible to use multi-word keywords and Pixaria will even let you search for two letter keywords for the first time.
Pixaria 2.0 also protects images in password locked galleries from being searched by your users as well as respecting gallery permissions and security settings on all search queries.
Powerful new lightbox tools
Researchers like to be able to keep tabs on what their doing using a virtual lightbox and Pixaria has the tools to help. Your users can create up to ten lightboxes which can each contain unlimited images and in version 2.0, users can create a lightbox sharing URL to share the contents of a lightbox with a friend or colleague. Administrators also now have the ability to browse user's lightboxes via the user administration control panels.
In addition to the lightbox sharing features, you can even give your users access to PDF downloads of the lightbox in a contact sheet style layout which can be configured to use either high or low quality images depending on your rights management preferences.
