Pixaria Gallery 2.0 Coming In October

Posted on Friday, September 21, 2007

Pixaria Gallery is now 20 months old and has an ever growing, devoted user base of professional and amateur photographers who enjoy the benefits of powerful, easy to use features, fast moving development and excellent support. Now as the end of its second year approaches, I'm pleased to announce that version Pixaria Gallery 2.0 will be released at the end of October.

The new edition of the script boasts a wealth of improvements to the publishing, image management and organisational tools as well as a refined and enhanced user interface that has never been so easy to customise.

New feature highlights

Among the many new features and changes in Pixaria Gallery 2.0, highlights include:

  1. Administrators are now able to nominate users who can upload their own images to the library.
  2. Completely overhauled front end look and feel with cleaner, standardised CSS and HTML.
  3. Completely re-wrtitten search engine with support for multi-word key-phrases and full boolean searches.
  4. Re-engineered admin tools to speed up importing images and administering your library.

Pixaria Gallery 2.0 will be released at the end of October 2007 priced (USD) $239 which includes free installation, unlimited technical support and six month's worth of software updates.

Changes to upgrade eligibility

From the release of version 2.0, Pixaria is moving to a subscription upgrade scheme whereby the first six month's worth of software upgrades are included in the initial purchase price. Extending the upgrade entitlement is then $30 for six months of upgrades. A PayPal subscription package is available to make this easier to manage.

As always, support is free for the lifetime of the product.

Who is entitled to upgrades?

Any user who purchases Pixaria Gallery 1.5 after the 1st of June 2007 will be entitled to a free upgrade to version 2.0.

Users of Pixaria Gallery 1.x who bought the script before June 2007 will need to either purchase an upgrade subscription or pay a one off $30 upgrade fee in order to obtain Pixaria Gallery 2.0.
