Pixaria Gallery 3.3 Now Available

I'm pleased to report that Pixaria Gallery and Pixaria AssetDeck versions 3.3 are now available to all registered users.

The primary new feature in this update is complete support for regional tax codes which are an essential part of online e-commerce software for many people trading within the EU, USA, Canada, Australia. New tools in the tax settings control panel in the admin area make it easy to set up tax codes by country and, optionally, by region which are then applied to users shopping carts based on the region information supplied in their address profile. It's possible to set up multiple tax codes for a given region which makes it simple to manage national and regional taxes at the same time.

Also included in this update and introduced in version 3.2 is support for arbitrary sizes of paid image download which can be configured in the admin area's product management tools. This long awaited feature requires that existing image download products are re-configured after upgrading so please remember to take a look at the instructions for setting up multiple sized download products.

All registered users are entitled to upgrade for free by e-mailing me at upgrade@pixaria.com. As always, please take a moment to check out the release notes and change log before upgrading as these contain full details of all the modifications in this version.

UK Public Holidays

Just a quick note to mention that there are four public holidays in the UK in the next two weeks and I will therefore not be online as much as normal on those days. The public holidays are:

• Monday May 2nd

Announcing Pixaria AssetDeck

I'm very pleased to announce the launch of Pixaria AssetDeck, a new, software product that extends Pixaria Gallery with support for a range of non image file formats such as Microsoft Office files, zip archives, InDesign documents and many others.

Pixaria AssetDeck is available as a stand alone product or as a plugin module for Pixaria Gallery which, once installed, offers fully integrated support for upload and management of a wide range of file types via the familiar front end and admin user interfaces of Pixaria Gallery.

Designed specifically with enterprise and business users in mind, AssetDeck makes it simple to share documents across an office or company or with external clients using a secure and intuitive web interface.

AssetDeck supersedes the Pixaria Gallery Pro product introduced last year, and therefore includes assisted installation of up to 10 upgrades per year and priority technical support. Existing Pro user licenses are unaffected by this change.

For existing Pixaria Gallery users, AssetDeck is priced at $599 and for new users, a stand alone license is available for $849. Find out more about Pixaria AssetDeck on the website here.
