Another day, another announcement, this time to introduce Divestock a new project of mine started in response to requests to create somewhere that users of Pixaria Gallery could show off their websites to other users.
By the end of 2006, I'd begun getting a lot of requests to put up a page featuring users websites but instead, having already chosen to go down the route of having selected 'Pro' case studies, the idea of a more general page evolved in my head into something a bit more ambitious. After toying with a lot of different ideas and taking advice from users, friends and colleagues, I settled on a concept for a website which could be integrated into Pixaria itself to make something even better.
Now, a year on and with Pixaria 2.0 out in the wild, I've finally got to the stage where Divestock is able to begin accepting submissions for websites to be included in it's database. Unlike the excellent Find and Click that I mentioned the other day, Divestock will be something a bit different. I don't want to reveal too much right now but suffice to say that if you're using Pixaria 2.0 and you sign up to Divestock, you will soon be able to get your work in front of many more people than you might be able to through your own website alone.
Membership of Divestock is completely free so if you're intrigued, why not take a look now and get your photography business listed.
