Progress on Pixaria Gallery Language Support
Posted on Sunday, July 27, 2008The next update to Pixaria (version 2.3.5) will be the first to introduce some long awaited changes to Pixaria's front end templates which will allow for full support of multiple languages in the entire front end user interface.
The progress so far is that I've completed work on many of the internal modifications which will enable this transition and with that out of the way, have so far converted the login screen, search results and thumbnail views to make them localisable.
I'm hoping that now the frameworks are all in place for this major change, I will be able to complete the remaining work fairly quickly. The results will be released as version 2.5 as soon as I've completed the work - hopefully by early October.
I will be updating the documentation to provide instructions for translating the script into different languages nearer the release date. If you have any comments about this change to Pixaria, please let me know via the forums.
