PopCard 3.0 Now Available
Posted on Sunday, October 12, 2008I'm pleased to report that after a three year hiatus, PopCard Greetings 3.0 is now available as a free download from Pixaria.com. Users of Pixaria Gallery will already be familiar with the e-card features of PopCard as these have been included as part of Pixaria since its release in 2006.
Why a release now..? Well, with Apple's recent decision to shut down the iCards e-mail postcard service as they launched Mobile Me, I've been getting a lot of requests for the PopCard script. Rather than put out a somewhat outdated version, I thought it would make sense to tidy it up a bit and re-think the security aspects of it and the result is that it's available for free now for anyone that would like to install it on their own website.
I've also created a demo website called PopCard.me which shows of the card system using some fun photos and gives a feel for what's possible with the script.
