Pixaria Software
It's been a long time in development but, I'm pleased to announce that Pixaria Gallery version 2.6 is now available. This update is an important step on the road to version 3.0, delivering an entirely new web based image upload utility, powered by Adobe Flash, Yahoo! UI and some nifty AJAX to offer the simplest image uploading imaginable.
As part of the transition to Pixaria 3.0, this update also includes the first pieces of a new user experience for the admin area of the script and adds some internal components that will pave the way for quicker delivery new features over the next few releases.
Another important change in this update is a set of enhancements to the way pages and images are served which will make it easier for search engine robots like the GoogleBot to index your site and the images on it. These changes include support for canonical URLs for image pages and search engine friendly image URLs.
