Just a quick posting today to let everyone know that Pixaria Gallery 2.6.1 is now available and is a recommended upgrade for all users of version 2.6.0. Although this update changes a lot of files, most of these are in the internals of Pixaria so if you follow the file change log, you should find the upgrade fairly painless.
The main change in this update is a modification to the thumbnail proxy PHP script which will bring major performance improvements for all users. This has been achieved by eliminating all database calls and several unnecessary filesystem calls when thumbnail images are displayed.
Other points to note for this release are a number of bug fixes in the Flash image upload tool and improved user interfaces for some of the admin control panels and image editing screens. Please request your update and let me know your feedback by e-mailing info@pixaria.com.
