Pixaria Gallery version 1.2 is now available as a free upgrade to all current registered users of the script. This major update introduces a wealth of new features and hundreds of minor enhancements and bug fixes in every area of the script.
The major change in this version is that it is now possible to sell physical products based on images. These could include prints, t-shirts, mugs or any other item which can have an image printed onto it. To accommodate this change, the store has been completely re-written from the ground up allowing both registered and unregistered users to view pricing on physical products and digital images.
Other changes include a completely re-designed administration user interface featuring multiple web based file uploads, improved import directory browsing and many other improvements to image and gallery management.
Because of the large number of internal modifications to the script, all users are advised to check the version history and file changelog before upgrading to ensure that you don't break customised themes or PHP pages.
The user documentation for Pixaria has also been updated with information about the new HTML and CSS standards being introduced in the script and which already apply in much of the admin area and all of the new store system.
The new version of the script will not be e-mailed to current users automatically because of the large number of people involved and the size of the file. If you wish to get the upgrade, please contact me at upgrade@pixaria.com.
