Pixaria supports fully automated purchase notification integration with PayPal via Instant Payment Notifications. When enabled, this feature ensures that customers completing payment for image download purchases with PayPal are able to instantly download image files once their payment has been processed.
In order to make use of this feature, instant payment notification (PayPal IPN) must be enabled on your PayPal account. IPN is only available for business accounts and standard/personal accounts that have been verified.
Once IPN has been enabled for your PayPal account, you need to turn on IPN integration and add your PayPal e-mail address to the Store Settings control panel in Pixaria.
Note you may need to enter an IPN URL into your Paypal settings. This is the full URL of the index.paypal.php script e.g.:
http://www.mywebsite.com/index.paypal.php
IPN support in Pixaria requires that your site (the file index.paypal.php) can be accessed over the Internet by PayPal's servers. If you're using .htaccess password protection on your site or it is hosted on an intranet or behind a firewall where PayPal cannot communicated with it then IPN will not work.
